Janie strategically coaches career transition candidates on reaching their job search milestones, such as creating top-notch resumes/LinkedIn profiles, coaching on ways to enhance their network, practicing interviewing skills in a question, answer, debrief format, and reviewing job offer negotiation strategies, to land their next opportunity.
Janie is best known for her attention to detail and making sure no stone is left unturned. Janie has a passion for ensuring her candidates do the same to seek out every possible opportunity available to them and that they have the proper tools to do so.
Prior to working as a Consultant at Ratliff & Taylor, Janie was a Human Resources Professional for over 20 years working for Fortune 500 companies as well as small family-owned private businesses. Janie started in HR in the manufacturing industry, then retail, and wrapped up her HR career in the service industry. Janie assisted companies in aligning their initiatives and strategies in all areas of HR to the company’s overall goals, vision, and mission. Janie has certifications as an SPHR and Mediator, with advanced experience and training in prevention, early resolution, and strategic management of workplace conflict.
In Janie’s spare time she likes to tap into her creative side by writing children’s books for or with her 3 boys. She also loves to work with flowers, so much so she started her own small flower business for a short stint called, Flowers of the Week, delivering fresh floral arrangements to local businesses on a weekly basis.
