Mike’s #BeIntentional — 14

July 25, 2018 by Ratliff & Taylor Leave a Comment

“When I ask for the time of day, you tell me how to construct a watch.”  I have received this feedback from members of my team more than once.  Striking a balance between offering too much or too little of your perspective can sometimes be a challenge.

Ask people to help you.  Encourage them to ask for more details when you haven’t offered enough.  Agree on verbal or visual cues, such as tapping their watch, when you are going over the top.

Information is best consumed in measured amounts.  Ask your team to let you know when their “cupboard is bare” or “their cup runneth over”.

Be intentional about it…
